These routes are the gentle ones. Chosen mainly for their extreme scenery and easy driving. Fancy just taking it easy, these are the roads for you.
Here's a nice one for starters.
The B3212 from Moretonhampstead to Princetown continuing on to Tavistock via the B3357.
This road is straight through the centre of Dartmoor. You will have to take your time on this road not only to take in the landscape but also to ensure you do not collect some of the ponies lining the route.
There are many lay-bys along the way to give you chance to take it all in and generally just chill out, but be on your guard as the notorious Dartmoor Prison is out there somewhere hopefully with all its doors closed.
